FAQs

Yes, we accept custom orders! Let us know your design ideas, or provide specs/drawings and we can craft you up a stunning blade. We also do Custom Wood Burning on basic North American Hatchets. We are currently not set up for engraving on our Thai products. Custom orders are artistic creations and are not subject to refunds or returns.

Hand Forged Blades & Steel: Each blade is made using a variety of High Carbon Steel. Most HCS, is not rust proof. Your blade will come well oiled to prevent rust during shipping. You will need to lightly polish it with a clean cloth, be careful of the sharp edge! We recommend applying oil (WD-40, Gun Oil, even vaseline) to the steel after each use and during storage, to prevent rust. There are many simple ways to remove rust. Please Google "easy rust removal knives" for instructions. Also, you're blade can be polished, or high grit sanded to a mirror finish if you wish to try. It takes a lot of elbow grease and patience, but is attainable on these High Carbon Steels. Please Google "Mirror finish knives"

Wood Care: We use exotic woods, native to Thailand. We oil each wood handle with either Linseed Oil, or with 'Badger Oil', a 100% natural, no chemicals, Hemp Seed Oil. To prevent wood cracking in the potential change in humidity from Thailand to abroad, we recommend applying oil to your handle every so often. Personally, I like to do it every few weeks. Every other month is also ok. During prolonged storage, definitely apply a linseed oil, or even vegetable/canola oil .

Currently, we are working on expanding our packaging and branding. As it stands, the packaging is standard. It may not be pretty, but the blade inside is a valued treasure!

We take wholesale orders, at a discounted price. Please message us for more information on bulk orders.

Yes! Sort of. We do custom woodburning for standard North American made tools. The level of artwork we can put on an axe handle is incredible. Our custom axes are one of a kind, works of art! We can put almost any design on a tool handle, such as an axe or hammer. Standard Hatchets & Axes can be wood burned with initials, drawings, designs. Just about anything! Contact us for custom orders. Engraving is limited to woodburning handles currently. We are not set up to engrave into steel or other materials. We also don't offer woodburning on our custom made Thai blades, just our vintage hatchets.

The vain of our existence has been Shipping Internationally! We have scoured Thailand for the fastest shipping options. Unfortunately, cheap & fast are often at odds with each other, and an impossible combination with the size, weight and distance of these packages. The Standard option will guaranteed get these blades to you, in due time. We thank you for your patience! For an extra fee, we can upgrade shipping. We are able to assist in tracking any parcel for you. We cannot be held responsible for the postal service on either end of delivery, or for customs.

For the most part, YES. We have extensively researched export/import laws in most countries. Via looking online, and contacting governments personally, we confirmed it is legal to ship these blades. Most countries don't allow things like brass knuckles, switch blades, push daggers, etc. LARGE BAD ASS MACHETES & SWORDS are ok! We review each countries import/export policies before shipping. Rest assured. Customs has opened 1 straight razor blade package, in Canada, that we know of. They then shipped the parcel to it's destination safe and sound.

We recommend buying a sharpening stone, for regular use with your blade. A dual grit stone can work wonders for everyday use. For razor sharp edges, a higher grit is required. You can also use a leather strop for final honing of your blade. Give google a quick search for knife sharpening techniques. We sell Dual Grit Sharpening Stones, Fine Grit Thai Natural Whetstones and Leather Strops. Message us to purchase.

We work diligently to get all orders out in a timely matter. We experience delays when a lot of awesome support comes our way, from you, the purchaser. If your blade is delayed, it's because we are hard at work with multiple orders on the go and extremely busy. In this rare instance, we offer free upgrades in shipping, and a free gift with your order while supplies last (usually a free sharpening stone). While we pride ourselves in the quality of our work, we are a very small handmade operation, working in intense Thai heat/humidty and in some cases, torrential downpours. We work in open concept bamboo huts and sheet metal shops, which are limited to weather conditions. If your order is delayed, we are labouring extensively to finish.
